Belated post as i wasnt feel well on flight back. Not sure if its the food i ate... puke like 3 big bowls and after i reached home diarrhea several time. Am feeling better now but still tummy ache and body ache. Doctor says its viral infection.

Went to pho hung for lunch.. nice beef pho. Not sure if its the uncooked beef that caused my sickness. But bf ate too and he's fine.

We actually planned the wrong timing and arrived at airport 2 hrs before.. boringly doing nothing there.

Both of us liked Ho Chi Minh, the food, the cheap taxi, the cheap clothes and alot more! ^^

Tdy we slept late and missed the hotel breakfast. Went district 6 for kfc breakfast instead before entering Binh Tay Market. The market is very big.. more like wholesale market where dry goods, footwear, assessories etc were sold. But not really the fanciful type we like. So we only bought some instant coffees home. After which we went Pho Hoa at 260C pasteur for lunch.. had pho Mon.. pork one. The soup is delicious. Bf said its so.much better than the one in Ben Thanh market. Its only 52k dong.

After lunching, we're off to war museum. Its not the most pleasant things u see there. All about the war between Vietnam and US. And the victims in the war. Alot of pictures featuring the victims of the war sufferring from chemical bomb.. badly disfigured everywhere and after effect. Hopefully such things wont happen again in future generation.

Had seafood dinner! A 1kg grouper, tiger prawn and fried frog legs. Love the tiger prawn..yummylicious. total bill of 1150k incl of beers.

Live band at lodge bui which is just opposite the restaurant. But not sure if its because its Sunday.. there minimal crowd.. pretty boring..

Am back in hotel room.. waiting tl slp. Tml we returning! Tts fast.

The Cu Chi tour today was eventful. Learnt more about the war last time and how vietnamese won the americans. Duck walked through the cu chi tunnel.. it is very dark inside thus pretty scary for me. Exitted at first exit. Haha.. all because bf refused to take out the touch we brought along.

After which went for pedi and mani.. its cheap.. did spa pedi and mani at 400k dong which is abt 25 sgd. Bf did the classic one at 160k dong which is 10 sgd. Their skills is not bad.. but seems like mine is rushing time to off work.

After which we went for a drink at 'by the window'. The place is very crowded.. mostly locals. Its a chill out place that plays loud remixed songs. Most of the ppl drink their Vietnam coffee.. some juices, shakes etc. Only a small handful drinking beer. So healthy.. There's soccer to watch too.

End our nite eating the roadside cuttlefish and local 333.

That ends our 2nd nite at Saigon.

Went for massage.. it is so cheap. Only 250k dong for full set massagw from head to stone with stone massage.

Dinner at Ben Thanh night market. Yummy wild boar and fish.. only 338k dong with vege.. saigon beer.. etc. Love vietnam! Early nite tdy, awaiting tml cu chi tunnels!

Arrival at 830am Vietnam time. The money changer rates are indeed better than sg. Got our money changed at the airport at 1sgd to 16588 dong. There's actually even better ones at $16610, but too bad we saw this after we got our bucks changed.

Went to Ben Thanh Market but a short walk but weather is really so hot! Haf our breakfast there. I had hu viet - prawn and pork noodle and bf had beef pho.. 50k dong each. Quite pricey i would tink for market kinda price. After breakfast we took a stroll down Saigon Square. Here we found alot of clothes sold in blogshops! Got a dress at $18.75 sgd and 2 blouse at 17k dong and 23k dong respectively. Tired legs.. rested at The Box bistro, had my first cup of Vietnam iced milk coffee( Dong nam). It's very thick w condensed milk and only half cup the rest filled with ice cubes. Fragnant, but will not quench your thirst. Bf had iced coffee - black, bitter is the word i would describe. Back to hotel, time to take a nap before we head off for massage and dinner. Zzzzzz.
